Spiky Floofs, Cactus Hamsters & Heb Hobs—Internet Names for Hedgehogs

Spiky floofs are small but pokey critters. They go by many names, like the ouch mouse, cactus hamster, and heb hob (sometimes just hebber). It’s also called the land urchin, hairbrush rat, and the extra scratchy loofah. We do not recommend using a hedgehog as an actual loofah. 🙂

Spiky floofs have many features, like little lenses and the neutral zone, also called the so-soft-but-still-dangerous zone. They’ve also got noodle noses, but be super careful when you try to boop it, otherwise you might get the nibble needles. And of course, there’s the most distinguishing feature of all—the pokey stabbies, sometimes referred to as prickles.

Spiky floofs do many adorable activities, like hedgehugs, feesting, and doing the roll outs. If it’s running at incredibly high speeds, that’s called doing a sonic. Spiky floofs also get suck in things, like in your shoes, but be careful! They might also try to poop in your shoes, or in your lawn, or in your hand, or even in your bed.

Finally, spiky floofs are the very best at one thing: looking sharp. Some hedgehogs are almost as sharp as that one guy from all those food TV shows.

Remember, you can visualize all your spiky floofs, pets, doggos, cattos, ideas, and processes with Lucidchart!
