The magic lies in agreeing on meaningful metric definitions with the stakeholders, identifying reliable sources of data and establishing the right level of detail in reporting. If done right, metric tracking can allow for constructive discussions within the team to guide product improvements.

Hem Venugopal is currently a Product Owner at Arq Group, where he builds digital products for enterprises. Prior to joining Arq Group, Hem co-founded one of the pioneering fashion aggregator start-ups in India that was acquired by SK Group, a Fortune 100 company. Overall, he has over 10 years of customer-centric product management experience across different industries including e-commerce, travel, finance, telecom and logistics.
