1. THE OUTSIDER ADVANTAGE: HOW NOT BEING PART OF THE INDUSTRY HELPED US SOLVE THEIR BIGGEST PROBLEMS – by KEITH TAN – CPO at ZeeMart (Singapore)
The restaurant industry has a higher rate of failure than startups. Despite this, more new players open than close each year. Hear from Keith on how he and his team built a platform by being total outsiders, and their journey to convert once skeptical users into loyal fans.
2. HOW DO YOU WORK OUT WHAT PRODUCT YOU NEED TO BUILD? – by PETER LAURIE – Mentor in Residence at River City Labs (Australia)
It’s hard enough to work out how to build the product, but it’s harder again to work out what product and features to build. Your customers don’t know what you can build, and they definitely can’t ask for it. Peter is going to take us through how he advises startups to be pragmatic, set the customer expectations correctly, and just get started.

1. KEITH TAN – CPO from ZeeMart (Singapore)
Keith Tan co-founded Comwerks in 2002 straight out of university. Building it into one of Singapore’s top digital agencies, it was eventually acquired by WPP, the global advertising giant. An entrepreneur at heart, Keith left the corporate world and started Zeemart with the same co-founder Neeraj in 2017. Together they are hoping to make it Southeast Asia’s leading B2B platform for the food services industry.
2. PETER LAURIS – Mentor in Residence from River City Labs (Australia)
