Product Tank Sydney: Leadership in a remote-first world

6 months ago, most companies would have considered remote Product Managers a no-go. How can you be an effective leader and stakeholder manager if you are not in the same building? With the COVID-19 lockdowns, everybody had to learn how to do this from scratch – except for a few people who have been doing it for years.

Hear from Cheryl Gledhill, Head of Product at Zip, who worked as a PM and Head of Product remotely for years, and Tom Richardson, who is managing the APAC team at InVision – a fully distributed company.

======= Talk #1: Effective Product Management, working from home =======

Speaker: Cheryl Gledhill – Head of Product at Zip Co

Cheryl is Head of Product at Zip Co and has been working remotely on and off for the last decade, although this is her first unprecedented global pandemic. She has been creating tech products for startups and corporates for 25 years through the evolution of the product process from clunky waterfall and business requirements docs through to agile and lean startup approaches.

======= Talk #2: Leadership in a remote environment =======

Speaker: Tom Richardson – MD APAC at InVision
