During the initial months of the COVID crisis the #HelpAndKindness project was invited to help with the Council’s Community Response to the pandemic, working with the Council, NHS, Public Health, and with the community and voluntary sector.
This session will reflect on the impact of digital services on how the community response was coordinated on the ground, and how the 150+ local groups were able to provide the incredible volunteer support to the shielded and vulnerable residents across Dorset.
We’ll look at the practical solutions that made a difference, and also look at the challenges and risks of digital exclusion that come with this kind of approach.
We’ll look at the power of digital to make connections, deliver insights, and build robust responses to need between all parts of the community. www.helpandkindness.co.uk/search/dorset/coronavirus
